Juan Fernando Ibanez graduated from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana with a thesis entitled "The relativity of judged things in civil matter". He achieved the highest average in his class. He also collaborated in the drafting, discussion and coordination of the appeal law, published by the Supreme Court of Justice for the Federal District. Juan also collaborated in the commented and correlated publication of the Mexican law of Amparo (constitutional review procedure) prepared by the Superior Court of Justice of the Federal District.

Juan received a Master's Degree in Law with a major in Foreign Commerce at the Division of Postgraduate Studies from the Law School of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico; he participated in a seminar on taxes and International Arbitration both at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and also completed a course on Stock Exchange Law at the Mexican Stock Exchange.

Initially he interned in Ibanez y Asociados, a Mexican law firm. Later, he also interned as Judicial Officer in the Sixth District Court in Administrative Law in the Federal District, performing projects of resolutions. Juan also held an internship as a Lawyer in Botello y Hartasanchez.

Juan specializes in the following issues: Appeals and Constitutional Law, studied at the Instituto de Especializacion Judicial of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation. Administrative Law and American Law both studied at the Universidad Panamericana. Civil and Mercantile Law, studied at the Supreme Court of Justice for the Federal District.

He has published various articles in international commercial arbitration and has given Amparo lessons in the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM), Civil Law lessons (second course) in the Technological University of Mexico (UNITEC) and Entrepreneurial Law in the Executives Institute for Specialization (IEE), as well as imparted diverse conferences on Corporate Law, in Mexico City and various cities in the Mexican republic.

Currently he is working as Partner of the Ibanez Parkman Law Firm in Mexico. He is head of the International Law Area.
