Davila worked as a student practitioner in the University of Puerto Rico Legal Aid Clinic where she practiced Immigration Law primarily before the Board of Immigration Appeals and counseled clients in various areas of Immigration Law, including the visa and change of status process.
After graduation, Mrs. Davila commenced working as an attorney at the law firm of Axtmayer Benitez & Quinones where she was responsible for assessment, management, and litigation of construction claims and bid procurement cases before the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance, the Puerto Rico Circuit Court Mrs. Davila’s practice focuses in the areas of business transactions and litigation with emphasis on commercial litigation, collections of money, real estate law, and employment law. Mrs. Davila also handles corporate and real-estate commercial transactions.
Mrs. Davila obtained a Bachelor’s Degree Magna Cum Laude in Political Science from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
While studying Law, Mrs. Davila was an Associate Director of the University of Puerto Rico Law Review, was awarded as Who’s Who Among American Law Students, and as winner of the Commercial Law Foundation Writing Contest. She also clerked for the law firm of Axtmayer Adsuar Muniz & Goyco, PSC.
In her third year of Law School, Mrs., and administrative tribunals.
Mrs. Davila also worked as an attorney at the law firm of Garcia and Fernandez where she was responsible for assessment, management, litigation, negotiation, and settlement of cases involving employment law, construction law, bid procurement law, telecommunications law, collections of money and mortgage foreclosures, and civil and commercial litigation before the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance, the Puerto Rico Circuit Court, the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, and administrative tribunals.
Mrs. Davila has also keeps active in continued legal education attending seminars such as the Annual Conference on Labor Law offered by the Inter American University School of Law; “Technology and the Law" offered by the Federal Bar Association Puerto Rico Chapter; and “Seminar on Appellate Practice" offered by the Federal Bar Association Puerto Rico Chapter.
