Find Out if You Qualify for a TN Visa!
Under normal circumstances, workers from foreign countries must apply for
a visa on either a nonimmigrant visa or a permanent immigrant visa in
order to enter the country and work. However, citizens of Canada and Mexico
are granted special liberties due to being fellow members of the North
American Free Trade Agreement. These TN visas are always nonimmigrant
(temporary), but will allow you to enter the US and work for either an
American or foreign-based employer for up to three years.
To find out if you qualify to apply for one of these visas, reach out to
business immigration attorney. At the
Toppins Law Firm, P.C., we have extensive experience providing clients with reputable and trustworthy
counsel regarding business immigration law, and assisted numerous individuals
with obtaining visas of all types, both immigrant and nonimmigrant. We
have a substantial record of success, including a client base that spans
all around the globe.

Obtaining a TN Visa
In order to qualify for a TN visa, you must fit a very specific set of
criteria. However, so long as you are eligible, your spouse and any unmarried
minor children will also likely be eligible to immigrate with you.
In order to qualify for a TN visa, you must:
- Be a citizen of either Mexico or Canada (permanent residents are not eligible)
- Have pre-arranged work or business activities in a qualifying profession
- You have the qualifications to practice your profession
If you are deemed eligible to receive a TN visa, there is a complex immigration
process you must undergo, which includes completing and submitting your
application along with a photo, paying your application fee, going through
an interview, and submitting all required documentation. Attorney Wilka
V. Toppins can both help you prepare a successful application and advise
you on how to successfully navigate your interview.
