Naturalization Process (N-400 Application)

Naturalization allows green card holders to become U.S. citizens. Here's the step-by-step process:

Initial Eligibility Assessment:

• Permanent Resident Status: Ensure you have held a green card for at least 5 years (or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen).
• Continuous Residence & Physical Presence: Confirm that you have lived in the U.S. for at least half of the last 5 years and met physical presence requirements.

Gathering of Supporting Documentation:

• Proof of Residence: Prepare evidence of continuous U.S. residence, such as tax returns or utility bills.
• Good Moral Character: Provide documentation showing that you meet the good moral character requirement.

Filing the Petition:

• Form N-400: Submit Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, along with required documents and the $725 fee.
